About Me

I'm the lucky husband of Jaci and the blessed dad of Noah, Reagan, and Jackson.  My wife and I recently moved from New Jersey to Georgia.  We've been leading children's ministry using the 252 Basics and First Look curriculum since 2006.  At this point, we've lead the children's programs at 3 different churches in New Jersey.  Our passion is THINKING ORANGE and looking for ways to help kids connect their faith to real life and ACTIVATE that faith in serving JESUS.  We're currently volunteering for Upstreet in Gwinnett Church.

During the week, I've had the blessing to serve as a high school English teacher at a public high school here in New Jersey for 14 years.  This marks my 15th year in education, but my first year teaching in Georgia.

I believe that God has called us to help kids see themselves the way GOD SEES THEM so that they can become ACTIVE members of the church.  Too often, we allow FEAR to sicken and weaken our hearts.  When the heart is damaged, it distorts our view of ourselves, mutates how we see God, and damages how we relate to other people.

If we are to carry out Jesus' greatest commandment from Matthew 22:36-40, we will need to reject the influence of FEAR and embrace the FATHER'S HEART for us.  In Matthew 22:36-40, Jesus gave us the GREATEST COMMANDMENT:

"Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
